PLANTERSVILLE- On November 5th, at Dallas County High School, the school's FCCLA organization hosted a blood drive where 25 students volunteered to give blood for those in need through the American Red Cross Organization.

The U.S. Armed Forces asked the Red Cross to create and operate a national blood donor program to collect blood for shipment to the British Isles. The first bloodmobile visited the Farmingdale, New York, Red Cross Chapter on March 10, 1941. Ever since 1941, people across the United States have contributed to giving blood.

The blood donated will go to many people who need the blood.

Janna Helms- a student who gave blood said, "I would gladly give blood again," after she was told that her 1 pint of blood saved 3 lives.
