The FCCLA students went to the Southern Women’s Festival In Birmingham,Alabama last week. Students were able to visit several companies and learn about their products during the festival. Although the event consisted on mostly woman owned businesses, there were still things for men to do there. Some companies even offered food samples to give you an idea of the things that they were offering. Also, some companies offered interactive sets to showcase their products. An example of this is one company had a hand scrub that made your hands super soft, so they offered a hand washing stand to show off their product. There were some regular concessions offered, but they weren’t as popular as the free samples that you could get just by walking around. Also, many of the food items that were being sold were cheaper than the food sold at the concessions, so it proved better just to walk around and buy things.
